Carlos: What are some of the disadvantages and advantages to being a DJ?
DJ Lauren Pope: There are plenty of advantages, you get to travel the world and make people dance and have a good time. I love music so getting paid to play it is pretty awesome and as for the disadvantages the only one thing I can think of is lack of sleep but you soon learn to cope with a couple of hours sleep a night, thank god for makeup and eye drops!
Carlos: Who were the DJ’s you inspired to be like?
DJ Lauren Pope: I really looked up to DJ AM, he had an individual style that made him stand out and I like the way he mixes up really random genres together and makes it work. Read more »

Carlos: How did you start working with Keith Sweat?
Dru Hill: Keith has always been a big brother, mentor-type to the group. We have a longstanding history – when the group blew up in 1992, he helped produce several tracks on their first album. When Dru Hill was thinking of making a comeback, it made sense to have an accomplished artist behind them. And CENTRIC was the perfect network to show this – it embraces the music and story behind how it came to be.
Carlos: How does it feel to be back again doing what you love which is music?

BIG Blue Festival “Extreme Sports” 2010
The Big Blue Festival is a new breakthrough extreme sports festival launched this year. Based on the Isle of Wight at Yaverland Beach in Sandown, the Big Blue Festival will take place over three days in September (17 – 19th) and feature over 20 extreme sports on land, air and sea. Saturday will include a party night with a top headline act. The Isle of Wight provides a naturally stunning setting for the event and has a great history in hosting Extreme Sports Festivals.
