The app acts as a translator during the 3-D theatrical end credits for the special language of the Minions. The app will also translate the Minion language throughout the entire movie on Best Buy’s exclusive “Despicable Me” DVD released later this year.  

Best Buy Movie Mode uses new patent-pending technology to provide enhanced content to movie lovers during both the theatrical and DVD viewing experience. Additionally, it serves as a locator for both theaters showing “Despicable Me” in 3-D and Best Buy stores while also providing an interactive interface to unlock exclusive free digital content, courtesy of Best Buy. A phone in Best Buy Movie Mode automatically dims the mobile screen, silences the ringer and discourages texting to ensure audiences have a positive movie-going experience. Britney Spears, has designed her first ever collection of apparel and accessories for the Candie’s brand. The limited edition collection, “Britney for Candie’s,” will be exclusively available at Kohl’s Department stores and Kohls.com/candies starting in July to kick off the back-to school season. This marks the pop star’s first foray into fashion designing. Britney is best known for her chart-topping multi-platinum albums and is now moving into the fashion realm. The collection was inspired by Spears’ favorite music and movies and personally designed by the star.

The marketing campaign shows Spears wearing her limited edition collection along with her personal handwritten notes such as, “You’ll love these jeans!” and “Love this skirt for dancing…fun & flirty.” The campaign features the tagline, “Designed by me for you!”

Spears hosted a fashion presentation in Los Angeles for friends and family to launch her exclusive collection. She hand-selected her biggest fans to be a part of the show and model her favorite looks from the line. A video of the presentation is available exclusively on Candies.com and Kohls.com.

The print campaign was created by the Iconix in-house marketing team and shot by fashion photographer Cliff Watts, and the television commercial was produced by famed music video director, Chris Applebaum.

One of Cape Cod’s hottest new bands, has been selected to open the Naukabout Music Festival scheduled for August 7 at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds. BOOMBASNAP will share the same bill as the headlining trio featuring multi-Grammy award winner Bela Fleck, world class Indian percussionist Zakir Hussain and contemporary bassist Edgar Meyer. BOOMBASNAP only formed in December 2009 but they have garnered attention and respect from the music community and fans alike by creating a unique sound of jazz-infused funky rock with a twist of hip-hop. The band was chosen to open the third annual event from hundreds of online submissions to Sonicbids.com. BOOMBASNAP will kick off the festival on the Naukabout side stage which will also feature Will Dailey & The Rivals, Lilly Scott with Varlet, Jeff Conley Band and Jon Beninghof. Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer will be joined on the main stage by the Ryan Montbleau Band, Barefoot Truth, Adam Ezra Group and Black Marmot.
