Amir Gwirtzman Upcoming Performances at Celebrate Israel

Amir Gwirtzman, world renowned Israeli multi-culti jazz artist, plays more than 20 different woodwinds, reeds, horns, pipes, flutes and percussion instruments as a one-man band called Inhale-Exhale. Gwirtzman infuses Inhale-Exhale with a combination of R&B, jazz and rhythms of Cuban jazz, along with Middle Eastern, Gypsy, Jewish klezmer, Armenian, Irish Celtic and Native American influences.

Hot off of the Israeli World Music & Jazz Festival in Chicago, May 19th, which received a rave review in the Chicago Tribune, and following the recent sold out Town Hall and Joe’s Pub {New York Times} appearances, Amir is honored to be performing at Celebrate Israel on Sunday, June 2nd. It is the largest cultural festival of its kind in the world and will be televised internationally. The event is produced by Jewish Community Relations Council {JCRC of New York}, a beneficiary of UJA Federation.

Amir will follow up this cultural event with an encore show at the renowned world music venue DROM on Thursday, June 6th. Appearing with Amir will be very special guests from the jazz and international music scenes. Watch the venues website for details.

Of the Presidential Featured Artist Concert Series, Gwirtzman has also performed and recorded with many artists, such as Philip Glass, Mino Cinelu, Johnny Almendra (Ray Barreto & Mongo Santamaria’s Big-Band), as well as some of Israel’s finest musicians, including Rita, Shlomo Artzi, Rami Kleinstein, Yehuda Poliker, Arik Einstein, Shalom Hanoch, Shlomi Shabbat, Gidi Gov and Ofra Haza.
